The Westcott rack sits much lower, in terms of wind noise, unlike the factory roof rack, which is notoriously loud. Interestingly, the Land Cruiser comes with a decent factory looking rack—makes you wonder what the GX550 engineers were thinking with their design.

Nothing cut on the bumper or frame, only wheel liner due to the increased clearance.

How did those mounts work out for you after some off-road abuse how does it secure it's self to the westcott rack? This is something we want to do for certain occasions but definitely don't want to keep it on all the time! We will be most likely running a Roam Adventure awning.

Hey guys, just update here. The wheels/tires have sold. Still available, OT Roof Rack & Roof Rails OT Rock Sliders OT Stock Front & Rear Suspension OT Skid Plates Again we are in the Southern California area.

The NYTOP rock sliders are hands down the cleanest setup!

We love ours, we also just did there skid plate setup and run there rock sliders as well. We've been working pretty closely with them on feedback, etc.
