I had the TSB done (TCU software update) and it was great for like ~300 miles. But it came back. I'm thinking of resetting the TCU by removing the battery negative.

Did you see any improvements with transmission shifting (or jerking if you had the issue)?

I asked the same question before and I was told we can't unfortunately. I had the new update installed, the jerking went away for a couple of hundred miles or so, and it came back but less severely.

Update: I checked the battery connections and they were just fine; clean and tight.

Thank you. This is interesting! This behavior started happening right after the TCM software was updated. They disconnect the battery for the procedure I believe so I will check the battery connections.

Oh yeah, sorry I wasn't clear. What I was asking is what the consensus is, when it comes to these vulnerable windshields. Do people keep re-tintg and spending $? I plan to do so but just wanted to see what others usually do.

Yeah, these vertical windshields are so damage/crack prone. I will look into WPF, thanks. I am already on my second windshield. I had tint on the original windshield for heat rejection mostly. Now, knowing that cracks will probably continue to be an issue, do y'all re-tint after replacement?

Yes. This happens quite often for me if I slowly come to a stop. But if I go a little hard on the brakes, it usually doesn’t happen.
