I delt with customer service through lexus. They called dealership and arranged the loaner you get 3 options when they call you back.
1. Drive your truck yes some risk…
2. A loaner from lexus
3. Or 55 bucks a day and get your own loaner.
I did and you need to be under 24k miles mine has 25k but I believe I still have a case next step ncdsusa.org in the mean time explore options I don’t think it’s many GX’s so don’t think they really care the recall letter clearly says it can stall and cause death but it’s safe to drive.
Same day I took it so not long it’s gonna stay there until it’s fixed or trade it.
I went from an always broken in the shop defender to a bad engine probably I. Shop for months
So I requested a buy back from lexus after the engine recall it took them 45 days to send a letter saying “No” so we are stuck with these or trade in. Lexus did give me a loaner until they fix the engine
But they still don’t have a plan. The loaner was a brand new hybrid I do enjoy getting...
Got my official recall notice in the mail today. Says still developing remedy maybe they didn’t want to mess up holiday sales and just holding off announcing anything till after the new year. I can imagine they don’t know what to do

Again looking to see if anyone knows if the car fax on recall will go away after fix?
The engine recall was November 6th and still no additional information .. we have a carfax red flag on our trucks but does anyone know if they fix or replace it the car fax mark goes away ?
I just don’t know why announce the recall but wait on a remedy. I bought this truck and certain options for resale value and now we are cursed with a carfax report.
