The lead tech at my dealership confirmed that AVS error codes/faults/failures do not display on the dash. I had a faulty AVS sensor on one shock and it was only found using Techstream
My 2025 does the same thing. Today, with the climate set at 62 and still blowing warm/hot air, I turned off “auto” mode by manually adjusting fan speed. The air coming out of the vents seemed to get cooler. Give it a try and see if it helps. I’ll have to mess with it on a longer drive to...
In Overtrail and Overtrail+ models E-KDSS performance changes in each of the drive modes…. Comfort, Normal, Sport, Sport+.
In Comfort it allows much more body roll and uneven bump compliance. In Sport+ mode it allows for very little body roll, resulting in a much sportier ride.
E-KDSS...
I’d like to see if E-KDSS on non-AVS models still have selectable drive modes that adjust E-KDSS.
I don’t think it diminishes the Overtrail trims at all. Overtrail buyers still want an Overtrail.
I think it diminishes the pre-2026 non-Overtrail models that didn’t come with E-KDSS
GX460 and 4Runner both do the same thing…. Air flows through the vents while driving with the HVAC system off. Changing the setting to recirculate stops the flow of air
There might not be anything to it, but a friend has a GX550 with a 3/24 build date (7xxx vin range) that was also held at port for weeks for a quality check. As of now, there’s a backup camera recall but nothing for the engine.
There was speculation that the port hold could’ve been engine...
I’m curious if anybody who has a GX550 with a March 2024 build date and was also held at port for “quality check” for a few weeks before deliver has the engine recall?
I think the idea is that an aftermarket suspension manufacturer like Icon of King could develop an electronically adjustable coil over that would be a plug and play replacement and still work with the AVS ecu
Appreciate all the info. Just out of curiosity, have you tested the ride with the new suspension and the AVS fuse installed?
Obviously the AVS shocks are out of the equations, but I’m wondering how it would perform with drive mode settings and EKDSS enabled. It might give you the best of...
