Has anyone in Australia managed to plug this in via their dash? The instructions on the manual are for US vehicles and doesn't work for Aussie GX's. Got a quote from an Autoelectrician today to remove the dash... got quoted in the thousands to remove the dash to had the CAN connect installed :/

The wiring loom in Australia is different from the US which means with CAN connect cable I can't even read the ECU. Hence asking if anyone from Australia specifically.

has anyone from australia successfully had their ECU flashed? i am struggling to have the VF tuner read the ECU from the CAN connect cable / read directly from the OBD.

Thanks for this. I don't think duct tape is a good way to secure the cable and the connector. Perhaps shrink wrap to ensure there's minimal movement of the wire might help?

Have just emailed VF. Mine came with a faulty CAN connect cable. Wifi unit lights up directly when connected to the OBD.... but didn't light up via the can connect cable. The one that came with mine had duct tape and a very average welding job. One of the wires that were welded had snapped ):
