    Back seat, seat belt warning

You can have the dealer turn off the seat belt warning for free at your 6 month / 5k mile service. I'm not aware of the ability to turn off only the rear seat warning, though.

    DIY brake squeal fix (maybe)

Dang, I didn't expect this thread to devolve into this. I was just testing an idea that I thought would help, and reporting my results. I encourage all squeaky brake sufferers to report the issue to your service center, but if you want a (maybe temporary) respite from the, in my opinion...

    DIY brake squeal fix (maybe)

I still plan on having my brakes replaced. I brought it up at my first service, just waiting on parts. But I figured I could try this out to alleviate the noise for now. And yes, it can be dangerous if you're dumb about it. I drove out of town a bit, at night, on a straight road with no cross...

    DIY brake squeal fix (maybe)

I may have found at least a temporary fix for the squeaky brake problem. I did a brake bedding in procedure and the squeak has not come back for the last five days. For those that aren't familiar, bedding in brakes is a process that's normally used in performance or track cars. It "is a process...

GX550 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

I'm seeing 32.8 for the Toyos & 31.4 for the OEM Yokohamas. That's a 1.4" diameter change, or a 0.7" ride height change. 4.3% larger. I wouldn't run a spare that much smaller on a full-time 4WD truck, but that's just my opinion.

VF Tuner ECU/TCU Tuning for the GX550

I'm interested, but what's the impact to the factory or extended warranty? I've experienced other tuners (different make) that can be seen by the manufacturer that would immediately void the factory warranty for any powertrain issues.

What happens when the 3 yr. Drive Connect trial is over?

One of the things you'll lose without a subscription is "Traffic Jam Assist" which you need "Drive Connect" to use. I absolutely love it, and I don't even deal with real traffic jams, just the occasional 10-minute backup. Traffic jam assist lets you take your hands off the wheel indefinitely...

    Sunshade

The Covercraft UVS100 is what I got for about $70. It probably looks the best, but that's because it's rigid. I thought it might be a soft folding style, which I prefer to a roll-up. Being rigid makes it a little more difficult to install, especially if you have a radar detector or dash cam.

What is this unused welded bracket for?

On my OT there's another bracket bolted to that holding two lines (hydraulic?). Probably for EKDSS
