Same issue and pointed it out to my dealer (Hendrick Lexus Kansas City) and they took care of adding at no cost the additional PPF with a local PPF installer as shown in the Lexus accessory picture.

Thanks but the picture looks like the instructions for the roof rack with the two cross bars. Mine is the full rack that has 5 going across. Wish I had the two cross bar setup.

There’s a video on removing from an Overtrail + but a different setup. I have the tools but having difficulty prying the 4 covers off that allow access to remove. Tried prying with a flathead screwdriver with no luck on removing. Help! Thx

Mine was a PIO (port installed option).

Also, the area not covered that shows in the illustration to be covered is the most vulnerable to rock dings.

Discovered the same issue. Lexus should be required to install the protective film as illustrated. Going to start by making my dealer aware to see if it can be resolved.
