"Some 2024 – 2025 model year GX 550 and 2022 – 2025 model year LX 600 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the front brakes produce a squealing noise when driving forward or in reverse."

The issue is that the brakes squeal. In reading others complaints through the forums, most people experience this at low speed in reverse. For my 2024 GX 550 OT+, I started hearing it in the first couple months at low speed in reverse. It never went away when braking in reverse after it began. It also occurred for me in forward when I was driving in hilling conditions that seemed to make the brakes hot.

The good news on this issue, is that it has been acknowledged by dealers long enough that they shouldn't stone wall you if you tell them you have the issue. The bad news is that the problem is prevalent and parts are back ordered so getting this fixed may take some waiting time. Parts took 2 months for me and mine was just fixed so I don't have an impression yet. I think I need to give it a couple months before I call it a success given that's how long it took before I heard the issue initially.

Please complete the poll on this issue.

I have the same problem with Premium plus
Slow reverse driving creates squeal noise.
Reading this post, looks like it is an issue?
What is Dealer will refuse to do anything with it?

They won’t refuse. Lexus corporate covers the cost so it’s not a dealer issue. If it squeals, the dealer will order the parts and fix it.

After ordering my GX550 2/24 then getting it in 7/24 it was not long before I started hearing the nuisance front brake squeal. Every morning when backing out of the drive way the front brakes squealed. After a couple of brake cycles the rotors and pads heated up and no more sequel. However, once they cooled the dreaded squeal was back. My dealer called it normal, I just looked at the service writer when he said that with disbelief, the car had 80o miles on it. I got with the Beck Arnley brake people and ordered a set of brake pads. The rotors I found thru Auto Zone, believe it or not and the quality and rotor weight appeared satisfactory. It was a quick job to R&R the rotors and drop in the Beck Arnley pads. No further brake squeal since and even less of a bake dust issue. Total cost of parts was 240.00. It now appears that Lexus will take care of the problem but parts availability is no sooner that 12/25. It is disappointing to say the least that so many new cars suffer a litany of defects from nuisance problems to major defects.

I spoke with my Lexus Dealer and they mentioned that it is known issue and need to bring car to check out
