2024 GX550 fit & finish issue - driver side door weather-stripping tear (1 Viewer)

2024 GX 550 OT+ driver-side door weatherstipping tear - after 10 months, 10,000 miles. one 70yr old male driver.

driver seat moves back when vehicle is turned off. when exiting vehicle, driver brushes against the weatherstripping ,which is a soft rubber-like strip, resulting in torn weatherstipping.

Have you taken the problem to your dealer?

Yes. Dealer is replacing weatherstriping next week.

Also had the brake squeal in the first month which other owners have reported. Was fixed by the dealer.

At 11,000 miles/ 1 yr , transmission started to clunk when slowing down at slow speed. Dealer updated software which seems to have fixed that issue.

the first adjustment I made when I got my 2025 OT was to turn off the default Drivers Seat Slide setting when exiting the vehicle. In case you are not aware, this is covered on page 577 of the manual.

dealer replaced under warranty . said another GX came in for service with the same issue.
will keep an eye on it.

how early did you notify the dealer? I'm at 2,000 mark and noticed trunk and passenger side weatherstrips are all cut

You should notify them asap so they have it on the record! Damn, only 2k and already tears!? I got 11k and all good so far across the board...
