I have been following the tire posting. I have a 2025 OT, 6K miles. I need to replace the OEM tires as I will be towing a trailer (4,500 pounds) and other off-road driving (hunting and fishing). I was intending to install the BFG KO3 275/70/18 E1 tires. Discount Tire dealer suggested the Falcon Wildpeak A/T4W tire as a better choice as they find the BFG's are difficult to balance. He has seen several mounted on 4-Runners and they have problems with front end vibrations. (said due tot he weight, but all the tires he mentioned way about the same) He also suggested Nitto Ridge Grappler - says they balance very well but maybe not quite as good on snow. I am in NW WA so snow travel is a definite possibility. I had BFG KO2's on my Tundra TRD Pro and thought they were fine. Any thoughts? Other tires to consider?

Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek in 275 70/18. Have em on my 25 OT and I’ve been impressed so far. Like them better than the Nitto’s I have on my Wrangler (MT) and previous 4Runner (Recon Grapplers).

Counselor,
Your usage sounds like mine. I tow about 5500 lbs, and off road some (but on 285/70/18 size, with aftermarket wheels, and a 2.5” lift).

For the stated size 275/70/18 with an E rating, add the Nitto Terra Grappler G3 E-rated to your list (not the older G2). This tire will easily be ‘tough’ enough to do what you describe and will be very quiet, and will likely be better on highway snow and ice (vs. the 4 mentioned in your post).
If you want a more aggressive look and/or maybe a tougher tire to abuse more.. look at the Toyo OC AT3 E-rated.
