I was casually reviewing an article on the new Subaru offering, and couldn’t help but notice that the central screen is an exact replica of the one used in the GX550. What do you guys think? A deeper dive reveals they actually adopted it from Lexus / Toyota. A bit surprised to see this, but lately it seems a lot of OEMs swap parts from each other. Appears that our Lexus’s are not that exclusive as I once considered.

The 2026 Subaru Solterra/Trailseeker/Uncharted are twins of the Toyota BZ/BZ Woodland/C-HR and Lexus RZ. These refreshed Subaru and Toyota co-developed EVs have the current common Lexus screen setup (it’s already very similar to the current Toyota setup anyway and is on the way out… see the upcoming next gen version on the new RAV4 and ES).

Not sure how it would be too surprising anyway given the current Lexus interface in the GX, RX, TX, etc (14” screen) is basically identical to that of Toyotas with the 12.3” infotainment, just with the HVAC being persistently on screen instead of separate buttons.
