460 to now 550 convert (1 Viewer)

Well this is my 3rd GX but my first 550. Overall blown away so far. Very cool truck but I do miss my v8.

Yes! All the tech is so awesome to have. The 460 tech just seemed almost non existent.

Welcome to the forum. My first GX which is the same as yours, a incognito Overtrail and I love it. I came from primarily Chevy and GMC trucks to Tacoma TRD off roader. I love building my GX out and just put a set of King shocks on it for better handling, ride and off roading. What do you miss about the V8 that you don't get with the TTV6?

Congrats! I have an incognito GX too and love it. It is so capable as mine is stock. So far its been to Anza Borrego, Painted Canyon, and Monache Meadows.

Hearing the V8 startup a block away. The humble roar as the rpm gets up. And it felt invisible towing. I haven’t towed yet with the 550 so I don’t have an option just yet

Congrats! Same here I moved from the 460 to the 550 back in October last year and no regret so far. I am just waiting to see what the Hybrid version will look like...

We own a '22 460 and a '24 550, there is no comparison when it comes to HP/torque. The 550 kills it is most every way. We shall see how it does on long term reliability......
