This week I went in for my 5000 mile service. Service included an oil change, tire rotation and inspecting all fuilds. I noted that the brakes squeak so they ordered parts to be installed at the next visit.

I've seen this at all the local Mazda dealerships. Anecdotally it varies a lot by dealership

Our Dealership (Lexus of Seattle) always provides a video of the service. Was under the impression that all Lexus dealers do this.

Yep. Dealer sent me the video and asked me to call with any questions.

Correct. I had the choice of paying for a 5k or using the first free. I will now pay for the 10K or DIY. I do like having the dealer changes on the carfax.

I also changed it myself at less than 1k miles DIY. I have oil OCD issues.

Mazda service has been doing it for me for about 4 years now. They also have a service tracking portal so you know what it is done in real time.
I did not get anything like that at my local Lexus dealer.
