adding a wireless charger (1 Viewer)

Question: if GX doesn't have the wireless charger included from the factory, can the Lexus one be added at the dealership, or would you have to go with some sort of aftermarket charger instead?

I’ve got the Lexus wireless charger and I always use my Apple wireless charger instead with the Fuel and Fire MagSafe charger mount. The Lexus wireless charger has no grip so the phone sides off of charging most of the time. If you don’t have an iPhone, I would still say you are still better off with aftermarket just for the faster charging with USB-C.

Just a FYI, the factory one sucks. It doesn't fit larger phones well and it's an odd shape.

OEM “charger” stinks. It basically keeps your phone battery % where it started and heats it to 1000°

The OEM one doesn't work if you have an iPhone with a thick case with lens protector. I just use the charging cable...

Definitely don’t bother with the OEM one. $75 for a phone tray. No clue why they had to make it slippy and with that ugly label on it …& then for it to do absolutely nothing. I had a wireless charger in my old Hyundai Palisade that worked great and didn’t look like crap, so no clue why Lexus’ is such trash!

Have any of you with the fuel and fire setup noticed the CarPlay:Bluetooth interruption with it being so close to the radio? I have this setup and initially didn’t have any trouble and then one day I started noticing that my music was randomly cutting out when it was on that charger, but not on the factory one.

Just curious if it was an issue for anyone else.

I’d get in to the truck and crank and allow car play to connect. Put my phone on f&f charger and begin playing music over CarPlay. Noticed the cut out like it was getting interference on car play or over cellular streaming signal.
