I just found out that there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for the installation of an updated amplifier for Lexus 2024-2025 vehicles, which covers NX, RX, TX, and GX. I don’t know the number but it is covered under a Lexus Service Campaign.

  • A Special Service Campaign (25LC01, head unit notification) was released in mid‑April 2025, with Lexus planning owner notifications by late June 2025 .
  • The campaign aims to address sound issues—like weak bass—by installing an updated amplifier/head unit. It’s not a safety fix, so it’s not labeled as a recall, but it’s a dealership-supported remedy .

Justin Horne ( FB Group ) has been lobbying Lexus and ML for a fix to the sounds issues in his TX. Given his persistence and the TX community's persistence, they have issued a TSB and it does seem to resolve the issues. To my knowledge, it only covers the TX. Seems we all need to report the issue to Lexus and just perhaps they will extend it to the GX. Attached is the TSB for the TX. If someone has evidence that the scope has been widened, please post the TSB number.

Nope. That TSB is ONLY for the TX.

There is another thread here related to complaints around the Mark Levinson upgraded system.
My ‘24 GX OT+ just left dealer and we’re on the list for the fix that will come from Mark Levinson parts directly. It should become available for GX sometime in fall as a replacement amp.
But, as one user said here you have to be verified as needing the repair by the dealer. It won’t be a recall as stated. Rather a fix for anyone having an issue.
This was Sewell Lexus in Dallas that took care of us and added us to their list against this TSB.

Just dropped my OT+ at Sewell Dallas for the same issue along with insufficient cooling (tried the OFF setting on auto/conceirge/etc.)

SO what issues are people having specifically that would result in having this TSB applied for the ML sound system in the 550? If there is a new/improved amp I want it, but I haven't been as underwhelmed as others here. It's decent but I am not blown away, and do agree the bass on the highest setting isn't earth shattering.

Does anyone know if the ML amp in the TX is the same one used in the GX (same part number)? If yes, then there's a case for us to push for a TSB to cover us as well.
