Any news for GX Hybrid? (1 Viewer)

The lc250 hybrid has gotten such bad reviews that it has postponed the hybrid roll out here. This engine option will not be a hot seller

Anyone have any updates on GX hybrid?
Will it be a 4 cyl hybrid (?GX 500h) or 6 cyl turbo hybrid (?GX 600h) or both?

Which one would you get or trade in for?

Pass on a first year model?

The GX55h has been available in other markets for couple years now. It is the same 4 cylinder hybrid power train in the LC250. Although reviewers generally don't like its sound and lack of smoothness. It is still considered a good power plant with adequate power and most importantly....problem free.

So, no chance for a GX 600H with a v6?
From what I had read recently, it's going to be the same 4cyl that's in the LC 250 and 6th gen 4runner. The engine was the primary reason I ended up in the GX over those two. The GX's acceleration is so smooth and effortless compared to the 4cyl, not to mention those being a major dog on the highway and the fact it gets only very slightly better mpg than the GX with it being a performance oriented hybrid vs one designed primarily for efficiency. IMO a hybrid for the GX only makes sense if it can keep the same V6TT and give it a modest boost in performance while giving a nice bump in fuel efficiency to increase the range. Doesn't sound like that's the case though.

Was hoping for the LX hybrid setup option, but priced more in line with a GX.
Lexus may get some Toyota owners to trade in their LC or 4Runner hybrids for a 4 cyl Lexus hybrid version.
