Dual Battery Systems

I did a preliminary assessment of a Victron system that included dual 200ah lithium batteries, inverter, mppt solar charge controller, associated equipment and realized it would cost an arm, a leg, and kidney. Went so far as removing the rear seats to make room for all of this.

Ended up with Ecoflow Delta 2 Max with Extra battery and Alternator Charger. Already have the flexible solar panel on the roof to charge it while stationary. Cost was less and I have all the power I need. If I had a bigger truck I think I would have gone the Victron route but space is so limited in the GX.

What was the extra alternator charger you went with; I have an Anker battery system with solar - that might be a better option versus a 2nd battery

My setup came in one package which included the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max, Max Extra Battery, and 800 Watt Alternator Charger, 1750904537934.png

The alternator charger charges up to 800 W while driving and the solar charges up to 360 W while stationary. I have a flexible panel mounted to the RTT.

I went down the same rabbit hole and did the same as you. Ecoflow alternator charger and battery. Just a lot more versatile than a second car battery
 
Any pictures of where you mounted the Ecoflow Alternator charger in the GX?
My setup is unique in that rear seats were removed and a platform put in so here’s how it looks.
