Hey Yall
I guess now is as good as time as ever to start a build page.
I decided in November to get rid of my 2015 GX 460 for the new 2025 550 Overtrail Plus. I bought the 460 for my wife at the time. After selling my first GEN raptor, I took over the 460 and she got a suburban. I came from cars. Before the raptor had a heavily modified Mitsubishi Evo nine that I road raced/time attack… I didn’t even know the capabilities the 460 had during her use of the car. It wasn’t until a friend started asking me what I was going to do to it did I realize the 460 had so much potential. Fast forward a few years later divorced with a little extra spending money…The 550 is gonna get some stuff done.

Yesterday the Peak 2 piece ‘Summit’ lift with upper control arms went on as well as 17 x 8.5+25 RRW RR7-V with Ridge Grappler 35x12.5x17
From there, I picked it up and drove it straight to my PPF guy. I’m sitting at just under 4500 miles, but with the new poke, I would like to get the paint protected right away. I’m going to do a matte PPF on the entire body. We agreed on a couple of small sections to leave gloss.
Sidenote, I did not want Caviar… I wanted the blue color or Nori Green, but no blue OT plus, and Nori seemed like more of a wait than I was interested in.
I’m also gonna have him do a yellow PPF on the fog and the corner turning light, and a windshield protection. I would like to change the daytime running light built into the headlight to Amber if anyone knows how to do that.

I haven’t said a whole lot on here yet. Mostly just sticking to my MO and lurking. I would like to thank a lot of of you for your comments and participation here on other posts. It’s been so helpful for wheel fitment, and general ideas.
I found and love the 3-D printedcool box divider, and the Canvaback liners on the site.

I have on order the CBI front bumper and the Dissent off-road rock sliders.
I’m most likely going to put in an order for the CBI rear soon as well.
I will do a full length roof rack, but still unsure on which one. There was a low profile one I found that I like the idea of. I will do a light bar in the CBI bumper undecided if the roof rack gets a light bar as well.
Something that I’ll probably never need, but want are the Disscent off-road twin snorkels. Living in Missouri is gonna make that really difficult since it’s only available locally. From the photos I’ve seen they look sick and although have finally have turbos back in my life, they’re not as audibly captivating as my last. They work though, more now with 35’s…

Hope you share more soon.

Satin PPF mostly all over, select gloss spots around too, as well as yellow PPF on the fogs and cornering lights.
I’m loving the way it turned out on these body lines. It’s my first full PPF. I sure hope it performs as advertised.

The entire second half of my day canceled, so I took the opportunity to install my new Wolfbox G900 tri pro.
Installation was really straightforward.

I have the extended mirror mount on order, but I figured I could go ahead and get all the cameras run today and utilize the factory mirror with the straps.
I have the third camera, but I’m still undecided on where I want to mount that. I’m actually leaning towards mounting it forward on the roof rack when it arrives.

I didn’t want to risk mounting the rear camera outside and having it stolen. St. Louis is known for things like that.
I also didn’t want any wires showing and to have the camera mounted on the hard plastic of the rear hatch.

It took a little bit of wiggling, but I think it turned out really great. Except for my pictures. Sorry they’d out of focus…

I really want one of these Wolfbox digital rear view mirrors/cameras. Every time I off-road I am loaded up and can't see out the back. I can't believe Lexus didn't outfit these trucks with digital rear view mirrors.
I’m a few days in now using mine, and I really like it. I did have to shift the mirror slightly towards the drivers side to avoid the camera picking up the sensor housing on the windshield.
It took a little bit of adjusting on my part to be able to focus past the clock and compass.

My PPF guy wanted to go back over the whole truck today to make sure everything looked up to snuff. Since it was there for the day, I had him do a ceramic application. I was amazed at the difference in the texture from before and after. So smooth!

Also, this is the first time it’s been in a shop with the Wolfbox installed.
The “apprentice” at the shop is the 20yr old son of a business partner of mine. I got him set up the day I brought my truck in.
I knew he was there today helping out, so I went back through the footage to try and find a video to send to his dad.
Sure enough there was lots of footage and audio! I found a perfect clip though. He’s standing at the hood from 5 feet away looking straight at the drivers seat, hands on his hips. The mic picks his voice up enough to hear him say “man this thing is Fu<%*# sick” 😂.

Man!!! I have to say, I am on a list with Nori as first priority, but seeing this has me considering changing to Caviar! I always think I don't want black for the maintenance and heat, but yours is amazing. The only thing I'd do slightly differently is swap the wheel color for bronze with the machined lip for a little contrast (I'm thinking along the lines of the 1978 Bandit T/A color scheme). This image is from the 88 Rotors site.

Cheers!

Oh thank ya sir! Don’t do it! Say with that nori and then get bronze wheels! THAT’s what I should have done. I do really like how it’s looking now though. Spring rains and foggy mornings outside are testing the ceramic coating I feel like…it does not like to stay clean.
I’m not exactly known for having a clean vehicle.
I love the look of these RRW’s. In all my vehicles I seem to be drawn to a multi straight spoke. (CE28N’s were my first love)
I did almost pull the trigger on the bronze wheels you attached.

Dissent rock sliders are on and look freakin awesome! At some point I’m going to get back under and do some more fine tuning of height.

@nonamex is correct.
They are from Canvasback. I’ve been happy with them overall.
Thank you for getting back to me. I checked canvasback's web site and their pics are not clear if the covers extend all the way to the floor in OT. I asked Customer Service and the reply was not definitive. Any way you take another picture for me, please? Sorry to bother you with this minutia. Sincerely appreciate in advance!
