Just sharing what I do to my 2025 GX550 Incognito Overtail +. I am replacing my beloved 4runner which is a 2017 TRD Pro. I'm an active overlander and really wanted more comfort, tech, and most importantly the power. The 4Runner was a great vehicle and served my purpose but just wanted to change it up. When I started looking into the new GX550, I fell in love with everything that it offers and immediately pulled the trigger to purchase it. I found that options to modify it are very limited so I'm working with whats out there now.

Lifted the truck with Westcott Pre Load Collar lift and installed Relations Race Wheels RRW RR7 V Flow wheels wrapped with 35 x 12.5 x 17 Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires. I wanted to do something a little different and go with the Rays Wheels in bronze but trying to find the right size and in stock was a challenge. I'll ride these wheels until I find something. Search continues.

I installed ditch light brackets made by CaTuned Off Road. These were actually made for the Land Cruiser but i was able to get these to fit with some minor trimming on the cowl cover. They essentially are installed on one of the hood hinge bolts. Couldnt be any easier. However, trimming the cowl cover took a little more effort but the time spent was really finding where to trim. I looked at all the ditch light mount options available and they were all either too expensive, or required drilling and taking apart the door panel to wire up. This is simple and very cost effective. I installed Baja Designs squadron lights.

I had a custom drawer system built by Overlander Woodworks that includes two drawers to store my camp kitchen, recovery tools, etc. I have a fridge slide w built in 120v plugs into my Ecoflow battery. The battery is charged via Ecoflows alternator charger so a quick drive will keep the battery topped off at 100%. The height of the drawer system is at the same height of the rear seats when folded so an extended wood platform completes the sleeping platform that is level.

Sick wheel and tire setup

With the lift, the stocks got a little stiffer but that’s a good thing. Feels like it rolls less. The plushness of the stock ride is still there though. I love the ride.

Where did you get the 120v plugs? Did you wire this yourself? I'm looking to find a 120v receptacle like yours to plug into the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max. Thanks.

I got the plug on Amazon. It’s basically a flush mounted extension cord so I don’t have to climb into the truck to plug something in. Just get the right amp for your needs. This is the one I bought. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN533DYT?tag=lexusgx-20

Changed out my battery clamps with ones from SDHQ. Looks better and has many more mounting points. I also added a Garmin Switch to control all my lights via app and Bluetooth. I can also control the lights with the Garmin app via Apple Car Play on my screen. The Garmin is mounted on Blaze Offroads bracket.

Roof rack installed. I’ve added the Baja Designs OnX6 40” Arc Series dual control light bar, 4 Baja Designs S2 work/scene lights for perimeter lighting, 2 S2’s as Chase lights. I’ve also also added Agency 6 grab handles. Very pleased as how sturdy this roof rack by Rago Fabrications is.
