On the waitlist. I understand there is a good hood flutter fix? Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m unconcerned with ride/gas issues as it’s getting a lift and 35s asap. How bad is the blackout stereo issue? Is there a firmware update incoming? Has anyone updated firmware on their headset? Any other major issue?

I've found the hood issue a bit overblown - minor almost non-issue to me

If you're after good gas mileage, pick another vehicle. My overall average MPG was 16.4, but it's trending down a bit since I put the Westscott kit and 34"s on mine. Hood flutter is not a big deal at all. My stereo doesn't black out, but about every 5th time I drive mine, I have to restart Pandora on my phone.......

I had a 4Runner and the hood fluttered and it was a none issue. On my GX it was an issue. It was making contact with the engine cover and rubbing paint and metal off of the underside of the hood.

Agreed, all Toyota's with aluminum hoods have it (my Tundra did), it's not very noticeable unless you fixate on it, life's to short to complain about every little thing.

Just put the Westcott kit on mine with 34's and a roof rack, I'm averaging about 15.5 in town and I'm fairly light on my pedal.

That's much better than my in town milage but we have a lot of hills where I live and there is a lot of stop and go. I'm getting a little over 16 overall with the Westcott lift and 34"s

Should be no issues at all with newer builds. My 2025 had no hood issues at all.
