When installing some light bars, couldn't find any information how to use AUX switches on the GX550 in terms of wiring. Checked all the forums, vehicle manual, and YouTube. We worked with a lot of vehicles and Lexus seemed the most difficult in implement into. Decided to make a video to help people with their upgrades. Do better Lexus

Let me know what you think and if it worked for you

Thanks for the video!!! One question, why did you add pigtails to the female plug instead of running your light bar wires directly to the plug?

@MandRautomotive thanks for the helpful and informative video. Question for you. Do those plugs go to a fused relay? Basically I am wondering what the max amperage draw would be for those connections you tapped into.

Each AUX has a amp rating in the user manual. I would go with those unmber

Bringing this back from the dead to see if someone can clarify for me how to wire the pigtail portion of these harnesses? I bought the actual plug/pigtails vs pinning myself and for now I'm just putting in a 30" light bar into a CBI bumper. Based on the specs for the light, it is showing a 12.5amp draw.

First, based on the below and also the manual diagram attached above, I assume this single "lo" pig tail is allowing for 2 accessories to be ran at 15A and 10A and then another at 10A that is ignition activated? Then the "hi" pigtail allows for 2 more at 40A and 20A?

Second, my light has positive, negative, and a single wire that I assume is signal for the switch, so power obviously goes to the battery, but then do I run negative to this pigtail's ground or do both get grounded separately? And then either black or red wire from pigtail(depending on which Amp I use) goes to my last light wire? Should I use the 15A or 20A connection?

Are you using M&R lights? the extra wire can be the power for the backlighting feature, that needs its own power.

No, actually when I made this I had a used rough country light on hand, but actually gonna go with Diode Dynamics SS30 that does have the backlight feature. It looked like that maybe needed its' own switch too, but couldn't tell for sure. Not sure I'd want to have it automatically turn on with the vehicle or not, but also don't think I'll use all the aux switches, so probably wouldn't mind having 2 switches dedicated to the light bar.
