. I just bought a 24 GX 550 and when it’s cold in the morning it’s making a “hoot” noise like an owl until it warms up.

Anyone had this issue and got it fixed or a solution?

Put video sound on to hear it.

Thank you!

Actually, I sometimes hear a “howling" sound after parking the vehicle. My rough knowledge thinks it is related to the emission system regarding the gas fume.

25 OT - same issue. I thought at first a kitten or a squirrel got stuck. Here's the video

I actually got it fixed. It was the fan clutch bearing. Here’s the info on it if you want to give to your service guy.

Did replacing the fan clutch bearing fix solve your hooting noise? I've developed a slight hooting now that we've got a cold snap

I am having my SUV serviced at a dealership. One of the issue it the owl sound. I'll let you know as soon as I get my SUV back ans whether the sound was fixed. I might wait until next day morning when the SUV is cold.

So, I had the SUV serviced but the noise evolved into a very subtle continuous noise. Now the SUV is making this noise. Does anyone experience the same when starting from cold? I edited the video for smaller size to post here.

I just made a YouTube video about the noise I am experiencing. It's a longer version of what I uploaded to this thread earlier. Please comment if you experience the same issue. I hope Lexus engineers can weigh in.

I have the same noise, but only when it's very cold and only audible from outside.

Sounds like some kind of vacuum leak if you ask me, but I haven't bothered to track it down.

Same, but couldn’t replicate it because it only happens at cold start. Dealership hadn’t heard of the issue elsewhere. No fix.

I haven't bothered to fix it either, since it doesn't appear to have any negative effect and is barely audible inside the cabin.

I theorize it's either the brake booster vacuum pump or the CCV system making some weird noises when everything is cold.
