I got this handmade leather key fob holster from Etsy. It's a perfect fit and has a metal belt clip to free up precious pocket real estate. Expensive but I love it.

I am still waiting for my GX but I’ve never put any cover on key fobs for any of the 30+ vehicles I’ve owned. Other than the belt clip one which seems useful if pocket space is limited, the rest just seem to make the fob bulkier and worse looking. What am I missing?

Yes, it’s a full case. I like it because it still slides in and out of pockets easily, unlike rubber/silicone ones, and it doesn’t have the excess edges of leather ones.

How is this better than the OEM one? Or you rather have the wear and tear on this one and keep the original one new? It does look good for aftermarket.

The oem case is leather and as shown in spkrmakr’s post the openings don’t even line up with the buttons which annoyed my ocd. I wanted something form fitting as I don’t like bulkiness and I didn’t want a silicone sleeve as that tends to grab against the inside of my pockets.

I have several OEM leather cases and you are right, they are not form-fitting and tend to slide off. So I use the original fob as-is - naked. It would be nice if the OEM fob came in a smaller form factor to better fit inside a pocket.

It's tough to fit in my running shorts - but always easy to find. Plus if you fill it with Pilsner - you have an auxiliary tank....
