one of the big differences between the lc and the gx is the type of cv axle on each one

The lc comes with tripod design that limits articulation but is stronger, more serviceable , and doesn’t seize when breaks

The gx comes with rzeppa joints that can handle more articulation due to more angular freedom. And much preferable if you are lifting the truck

Interestingly all offroad oriented versions of toyota , Tacoma and 4Runner included are equipped with rzeppa except the lc .
