What you you guys running? I see a lot of that 3D printed one that goes in the 12V but looking for other cleaner options

just got this and it puts the phone in a much better place than near the cup holders

Any pictures of your phone in it from the driver seat? Realize that might be hard unless you have two phones. I was holding my phone up in sort of the positions I would think the holder would put the phone and it seems it would block part of the screen from the drivers view and/block the start/stop button, no? The video is shot from the passenger seat view so it’s hard to tell the perspective from the driver.

@CostcoCurbHopper It's not an adhesive, it's a well designed aluminum clamp

There's a bit of give and take but there is a lot of adjustability with the extension arm. It will also depend on your phone size iphone pro max vs s smaller phone. I have mine where it barely covers the leftmost part of the screen. Mine covers the push button start, but that's because i didn't want my phone too high above the dash.

It's not a perfect solution, but much better than being located 1+ ft away near the cup holders. The ability to access, face unlock, and view the phone is 100% better than the 12V location. That location works as a mounted charging point, but requires you to reach over and look down if you need to use it.

I used a different charging mount that I already had. I ran the cable through the steering tunnel and tucked it under the center air vents for a clean install

nice looks like you can add a small adhesive strip if you are sure you want to keep it to make it slightly stiffer. it seems more secure than the one i have now with the overlay on top of the screen and the ball mount attached to that.

Mine is also 3d printed, and by the 12v charger, but you won't find a cleaner look. No cables, no screws/drilling, no adhesives. Designed to. use the removable rails next to the 12v door as the attachments. That location isn't for everyone, but if you use CarPlay, the screen auto blacks out anyway, so having it right in the eye-line wasn't a design priority for me, where as no visible wires was. Might be worth a look.

This is looks super clean and sturdy after watching the video from their website. Probably gonna order this w the MagSafe charger. Thanks!

After extensive searching for the right phone holder I like the above mount over the start switch by offroam.com The small problem there is they use a non standard 20mm ball size as compared to RAM at 25mm. I did find an adapter as well as a completely different mounting system by Tackform.com If you want to go with an Apple Puck and cord and skin wrap it and mount via RAM mount the 20mm =>25mm adapter will work. Or the Tackform is an alternative to the Offroam. I'll post pics when I've collected all my parts, I'm still waiting to hear from Tackform if their charger/cooling mount can rotate their logo. Also keep an eye out for the V2.0 from fuelandfire (search Instagram,) they said to expect a new design in April/May. I've chosen to go with a mount in my sightline as opposed to down by the cupholders for safety. Good Luck in the search!
