New to the group

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the group, my wife and I live in Wisconsin, but are active winter enthusiasts both snowboarding and skiing, so we spend a lot of time out west in Idaho, Montana, and Utah in the winter and take our ATV out as much as we can in the spring and fall months. We got our GX550 OT+ about 2 months ago used, although we ordered an OT, we decided to bite the bullet and buy off the used market. I have been a loyal Honda Pilot owner for 20 years, we still have our 2012 with almost 300K miles and still going strong, but didn't want to risk any more 5000 mile trips with it.

We love our GX, but have experienced many of the same quarks as everyone else, and as an engineer question some of these things. We trailer a lot, and love the power and torque of the GX. Looking forward to a decade or more out of this vehicle... Hoping to learn and share a lot with everyone. Thanks

We are nearby in the Oconomowoc area, I worked in the Falls for years at Froedtert. Where are you guys?

Mom's family had a vegetable farm in the Granville area but it's all a sea of shopping centers, car dealerships, and condos now. Grandma spent the last 25 or so of her 103 years in Menomonee Falls near my Uncle's family who all still live in the area. Mom is in Scottsdale, AZ now near me. I always enjoyed visiting Wisconsin, last time there was for Grandma's funeral in 2016. I grew up in Ohio myself, west side of Cleveland. This is where my Dad's family settled in the late 1800s. Mom & Dad hooked up at Marquette Med School in the early 60s.
