Went to Painted Canyon to hike the Ladder Canyon slot canyons. The ladders make the 4 mile hike more adventurous. The drive in is very scenic and easy. No need to air down and cars can make it too. When you top out of the slot you see a mini Fonts Point view. It’s a must do hike. Since it’s close to the Salton Sea you can see it too. It’s also a half hour from Anza Borrego so drove the Calcite mine trail which is a short and scenic and no need to air down. Calcite was used in WWII for gunsights.
