After 10 days in Colorado we’re home and it’s time to attend to cleanup duties.
I was astounded at the volume of grit, gravel, and sand hiding in the inner crevices of the stock Overtrail running boards. I kept rinsing with high pressure water and it just kept coming out.
Note also I had to navigate a road that had just been sprayed with magnesium chloride solution. That crap is highly corrosive.
So, my recommendation is not to neglect cleaning the nooks and crannies after time in the sand or mud.
And perhaps another reason to trash the running boards for a quality rock rail that might not be so prone to harboring materials.
Dave.
