A few pics of the Slee rock sliders with optional lights. Slee did the install as I was a bit too lazy! Really like their stuff and great crew in Golden.

Look really good. Outside of the use as a step how robust are these sliders when crashing down on rocks? Also, did you lose any clearance after install?
The sliders certainly seem like they are up to the task but have not been tested yet! No lost clearance.

How much did it end up costing you with install and how far in advance did you put in an order? After a few other items, rock rails with this functionality are on my list of mods. Living in CO, would love to go local.

The sliders are out of stock again, but one of the benefits of having installed at Slee is that you can get scheduled and a set will be reserved for you. Puts you "ahead" of the line so to speak.

Boards and lights were retail price as on their website and install was $500. So a lot can be saved if you install but they did a cleaner install on the lights that I ever would have done and for me no hassle and time spent under the truck was worth it. Highly recommend.

Yes, to confirm Slee installation of their sliders and them reserving the parts for you.
I did that too..and for a specific date for when I was passing thru town. Helped me get them quickly. In fact, they moved the install date for me as my travel plans changed.

I’m doing the same again with the ARB/OME MT64 suspension upgrade after some good discussion with them. They confirmed all parts, options already in stock and have ‘locked them up’ for my install late this month. I’m going with the normal/mid-weight rear springs, the optional UCAs, and the optional DuroBump bump stops for my 2024 Overtrail.

Cool, let us know how it turns out!
Ha! I thought you might be first to notice that, and I fully intended to let you know right away. 😀
I realize others might be interested too, so once done I’ll post my thoughts, any initial lessons learned, etc.
They gave me a couple pics of a client LC they just finished so I’d have an idea. It has a heavier, non-stock front bumper. They dialed in the front to leave a very small amount of rake for heavier loads on the rear. I’m not sure of the exact trim of that LC 250, and, in the pics it still had the OE wheel set. I cannot get to the pics right now 🫤, but the resulting lift looks perfect for what I’m trying to do. Plus, I hope to improve the ride over stock..more on all of that later.

Happy July 4th weekend to all! 🍻

EDIT: Here is the LC that Slee finished a couple weeks ago, still on the OE 18” wheels and tires.
EDIT 2: Bill, I failed to notice the front coil-over picture post-install. You can clearly see they used the 3rd or 4th setting to accommodate the heavier than stock front end. Seems to work well. I don’t know if the owner chose to keep the OE UCAs or upgraded, or which rear springs were used.
I’m also curious to know what the stock weight of this particular LC250 trim is; I never researched the new LC, maybe you have?

Would you start a thread now with the pics and background you shared here and document the whole experience? I'm considering it as well. I usually don't mess with stock setups on my vehicles because I don't like to take away from factory ride quality. But in the case of the GX, I'm willing to do something to improve it!

Ok. I can put that together, probably tomorrow.
I will also weave in some thoughts I just posted in the current ‘vibrations’ thread. 😊
Don.

Can confirm they are not just a step. They are made from the same HSLA and forming methods as the LX570/200 steps that have endured the Rubicon and many of the more difficult trails in Moab, etc. You do sacrifice a bit of clearance for the added protection and a step as is the case with most sliders that function as a step. For perspective I would not consider the factory offered rock rails as a functional step.

I have tested the similar Slee rock sliders on my 200 Series Land Cruiser and they are legit, taking the full weight of the vehicle. I'm confident Slee has designed and tested them to provide the function and form we're looking for. I will be installing these on my GX550. No worries.
