The only disappointment I’ve found with my stock GX overtrail is the sound system. For a 75k vehicle, it is absolute dog crap. I have a 2012 Prius that sounds 10x better. Anybody modifying their sound system?

Look into the Beatsonic add on amp ….. it’s claimed to be an easy solution at a cost but you will need to cancel out the noise cancel and artificial engine sound

Beat sonic amp is a game changer! You do NOT need to cancel out the artificial engine noise, has zero effect on the amp. Whoever told you that is 100% wrong.

I’ve checked out the Beatsonic site and it looks like the amp is only available for audio systems without the Mark Levinson upgrade. Is this accurate or am I missing something ?

That is correct. I just received mine and am going to install it today. Looks very simple. Plug and Play setup.

correct...BeatSonic Sigma Amp is only non-ML stereo systems.

There is supposedly a TSB for the ML systems coming out

Where does the artificial engine sound come from , like what produces the sound
From AI -
  • System Mechanism: The Active Sound Control (ASC) module generates artificial sound, which is then played through the vehicle's speaker system.
Nothing to do with the amp. I have only heard it a few times, in S+ mode, flooring it, playing around. In the end, put the Beat sonic in, works fantastic! Plug and play, thats it.

The best sonic is in between the factory amp and speakers so whatever sounds come out the speakers will be amplified

You are correct. Still do not get what you are asking. Yes, the fake engine noise will come over the speakers, and yes, they will be amplified by the amp....who cares? The amp does what it's supposed to do, stereo sounds 100% better and I surmise the engine noise when activated will do the same. The fake engine noise has NO impact on the amp.

Yes , it more of the fact of the Lexus “engineered fake engine sound” vs an amplified engine sound but whatever

Welp, I have the ML system, so I guess I have to wait for that amp. It is a very hollow sounding system for the hype it gets.

Yes, this amp is for the none ML. When they do come out with it, I am sure it will be worth it. I can hear instruments clearly and the vocals are amazing.

No. Nothing that is plug & play like the Beat sonic. You can have an Auto audio specialty company install an upgraded system but it will cost you. The Beat sonic is only $800 00 and installs along with the current factory amp under the driver's seat. I'm installing one tomorrow. The only question I have is how hot the unit gets. I'll find out tomorrow.
