Squeaky brake repair worked for you? (1 Viewer)

I just had my OT squeaky brake repair done a couple days ago. It still has squeaky sound and becomes louder and louder. I uploaded a video and sent to dealer. This is fixed based on TSB L-SB-0053-25 CODE BR2505. Anyone had repair work done before and if this fix worked for you? Is it a bad technician or Lexus just replace with same parts and hope it works?

I took my 2024 OT to my local dealership (Jim Hudson Lexus) and haven't had any further problems with the brake noise. Good luck on getting a resolution on your GX.

I believe the majority of members if not all who had their brakes replaced have reported the fix to be successful. My brake replacement was successful at Newport Lexus. No squeaky brakes at 10K miles when they were replaced.

Sorry to hear that. Had my brake TSB done at 1620mi. 10k mi later and haven’t had a squeal since.

24 P+ (October build), had the brake TSB done at 7k, no squeals since.

I had my squeaky brakes fixed under the TSB warranty and no problems and not a single squeak since

No issues since the repair. Make sure they gave you new pads and rotors on the work sheet

Thanks for all your reply. It turns out that it was a misunderstanding. The repair is not done yet. Dealer will notify me when parts arrive in 2 weeks. Advisor told me after I complained.

My brakes are totally silent after the brake replacement. Lexus went the extra mile to replace the front rotors and pads, even though my truck had less than 1000 miles. That squeal is like nails on a chalkboard, that's gotta go!

I took mine into San Diego Lexus on Nov 18 and they had to order parts. It's now Jan 31 and they say the don't have all the parts and don't know when the missing parts will show up. This is my first dealing with a Lexus dealer and I'm not impressed.

Took my 2024 OT in about 8 months ago 5K miles and referenced TSB at the time. Lexus changed my entire brake assembly. No noises since. Also, my neighbor right next door bought the Toyota Land cruser version and had the exact same issue, only Toyota has not fixed his. We paid a lot of money for these so demand don't ask.

My 2024 has had the brake TSB done. The piercing shriek is now 98% gone. Hit the trails and get the brakes dirty/muddy and they make noise again, but not as bad. Once the vehicle is cleaned up it improves and then a couple of hard stops makes it quiet again. YMMV, overall happy with the fix.
