See a lot of threads on the Mark Levinson sound system, but not many on the standard 10-speaker system.

Read online that the standard system is a pioneer system.

I contacted the folks at Beat-Sonic, who confirmed they are coming with a plug and play system for the GX will be coming out in December of this year.

My plan will be to install this, and swap out the speakers for some kickers and / or focals.

What's in the box? Is it just an amp? Some magic coding or something?

Beat sonic kits are usually sub $500 and the other OEM Audio are gonna be around the $1,000+ mark depending on the options.

One thing I forgot about , I wonder how the Noise Canceling and engine noise add on plays with this amp

Maybe it's due to it being an 8 channel amp since the OEM amp is already an 8-channel so I'm guessing it needs to match up. That is double the # of channels (and size) of every other Beatsonic offering.

It's the only reason I have been hesitant on this one. I see some of their other DSP offerings in the $500 range but was surprised as well at the preorder price. I wonder if the regular price will be more.

I will likely bite the bullet and be one of the early suckers just because I like the simplicity of not needing to tear the whole interior up and I'm gonna need better audio to compete with the upgraded downpipes. LOL

Thanks for info everyone. I’m waiting until later in ‘26 to reconsider, see if there’s a price drop, etc.
Meantime, I’ve recently changed audio settings on both the GX and the Spotify app on my phone (prob increased distortion too 🤔). It’s made a big enough improvement for now..esp for my old ears. 😊

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I find the base / standard 10 speaker Pioneer system quite good. Nice definition, decent bass, clear highs. I have experience with high end equipment, and honestly, I think the Pioneer does a commendable job with its class D amplifier and matched drivers. And all without the premium cost of the ML system (which has some folks upset on this forum with the lack of bass).

One way to see it is one less major thing to go bad

It’s not bad, but it can always be better
