Anyone else find the top of the driver's side door to be very pointy and quite hard? It's not comfortable to rest an arm there.
I'm short and sit up quite high, so my arms fall there rather than on the armrest. Any solutions to this?

I was looking at pictures of my previous 5th gen 4runner interior and the top of the driver's side door was flat, soft and covered in pleather.

I'm curious about this because it's come up a few times. I would never rest my arm there with the window up. And with the window down and my elbow sticking out, the angled surface is perfect for me to rest my arm - my arm's at a roughly 30 degree downward angle and so is the door top surface. If it was flat I'd be resting my arm on only the outside edge and / or the window gasket. It's perfect as-is imho.

Yes, too pointy for me. 9 hrs highway speeds yesterday..that edge is not comfortable.
Bizarre winds, dust, smoke filled areas, rain..the window has to stay up.
Let me know if you find an acceptable solution, product for that. TIA.

I tend to find it fine for short trips around the city with the windows up. Long cross country trips and I can start to feel the pointy part dig in. However with the windows rolled down, its extremely comfortable. Almost as if it was made to rest your arm there with window rolled down.

I just hope all this does not start giving folks phobias and suddenly it becomes a problem
