The Lexus 550 trailer lights connector is in a horrible place. I’m getting up in years and I hate having to get on the ground to connect my boat. Has anyone come up with a solution that makes it easier?

Thanks

If you don't mind doing some cutting, I dont see why you wouldnt be able to relocate it to your bumper using an OEM panel mount connector like this one: PT725-34140 - Genuine Toyota Parts.

If you want the low effort solution, you could use a 7 pin connector extension, and just velcro it out of the way (perhaps under your hitch diaper) when you dont need it: Extension

I’m using similar, primarily because my trailer plug cable was a tad too short:

I’ve been using it this entire warm weather season without issue. There are longer ones available with more slack..likely making it easier to bend, mount, semi-permanently zip tie or Velcro it where you’d like. 👍

The key to quickly hooking up electrical from your trailer is doing the same thing on a 4Runner for 10 years. The GX550 connection is about 3" closer so a total win for me!
