Hey all! I received my Victory 4x4 Upper Shelf and Side Panel Molle System. Install was easy and I am super happy with the storage.

Can you install just the upper shelf without the side window panels.

Had the same question and yes the shelf and side window panels can be installed separately. Thinking about the shelf as well.

If you're thinking about it go with the side panels. They're really unobtrusive and can hold lots of stuff.

Would you still be able to comfortably use the sleeping platform if the roof was ~ 6 inches lower? Still haven't received mine so I have no feel for what it would be like back there.

Yes they are all sold separately. You can setup how you like! Just the rear shelf is an easy setup.

The side panels really tucks up nice to the plastic molding!

I have the same shelf and it’s been great. Definitely recommend the side panels as well. They’re out of the way and gives options.

I ordered the upper shelf a week ago. Wasn't sure if I wanted the side panels because I have the tonneau cover.
Not sure if I would use the cover much and I did see a post about notching the plastic in the ends of the cover to fit with the Victory window panels.

Do you worry about things sliding out the back of you are going up a hill? Wonder if a tailgate cargo net would the needed?

Yes you can install the shelf without the side panels. They are sold separately on the website and you can also see the installation instructions posted there.
