Water fording

Considering all of the flooding going on in the Florida, Georgia and Carolinas I wanted to bring up a question to you all. I know there is a rated fording depth on the GX550, but have not looked at thinks like axle/transmission/transfer case vents. Has anyone located them? I also see two air boxes on the engine. Are they independent or will sucking water in one kill the engine? There are no snorkel kits available and am seeing where the vehicle stands in stock form.

I know the "don't drown - turn around" statement, but this is a land cruiser at its roots. Are the vents and engine air intake different on the prado? What would the limit be in stock form before transmission and engine failed? I know neither would take water and survive. The transfer case and axles could live for a short period with contaminated fluid.
