Any one’s gx550 windshield wiper underperforming in snowy/icy conditions?

Mine work about as good as any other wiper I've ever used. They wipe when they're clean and streak when there's ice stuck in them. The wiper de-icer is pretty fantastic, though.

Well, there is a price difference and added complexity. That is been said, for where I live, it is definitely a life saver!

The one labeled "D" to the right of the Climate button, then select Deicer
The 5th gen 4Runner has a physical button for this to the left of the steering column, which is a lot better in my opinion.

Beside what was described by TmoEng. You can also turn on the De-icer in the climate section in your Lexus App. This way you can pre-heat the windshield before you arrive.

Cleaning the rubber with a wet, then dry microfiber cloth, helps them work better. I prefer a rubber rejuvenation, but water works better than nothing.

I do it about once a month.

My wipers have sucked ass since new, constant chattering/skipping. Been meaning to get some replacement inserts.

OEM ones are ok I usually switch to Bosch

I usually have problems with chattering & windshield curvature with Bosch Icons, but this giant slab of flat glass might be the perfect windshield for beam style wipers to shine.

Chattering may be due to contaminants. Have you tried to use some glass polish to clean the windshield? I have had great success with an old school brand called zaino. Just add a drop or two onto microfiber and just polish away. Then wipe the residue off. Do not reuse these cloths; especially on paint.

I have used Bosch in the past and been okay with them but not super impressed. Recently, I got NAPA's brand, I'm 3 months in and I'm impressed enough that I added them to my wife's RX. I believe the price was better than the Bosch as well.

I found front and rear Windshield defrost on the app but not the wiper de-icer. Any tips? I was in the custom climate on the app. Thanks
