Settings > vehicle customize > utility, then toggle off “ACC customize.” This will get you retained accessory power that will keep the audio system on after you turn off the engine until you open the driver door. No hacks required.
If it was built in March 2024, it wouldn’t have a 7000 range VIN. The Australian recall press release pretty much shows the cars built in a one month period (3/4/24 to 4/3/24), and that time frame went from VIN 1315 to 4321. So 7000 wouldn’t have come probably until late April or May and would...
Not sure where the information about May or June builds came in (would have likely been from a misinformed representative?). Everything that has been shown thus far by people with inside info has said early build GXs only (through “early April 2024”).
Now the official report is available via...
Premium and Overtrail lack rear door handle sensors. Every other GX (Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail+) has them. You can decide how you want the driver door handle to function in settings. Touching any passenger door handle with a sensor will automatically open all doors right away.
There's no way this will come to the current system, since it's not simply a software update, it's an entirely new system.
Read about it here: it specifically says "it will make its debut in America’s best-selling compact SUV, the all-new 2026 RAV4, before rolling out to future models in the...
Settings > driving assist > driver support > driver monitor alert.
And if you’re cool with putting some black electrical tape or similar over the camera, you’ll get rid of the silent pop up as well, at least with shorter trips for sure.
This is correct. It makes sense to tether on Overtrails because this leaves a flat floor behind the seat.
Tethering wouldn’t make sense on Premium / Luxury grades since it would leave a valley between the tethered seat and the folded rear seat, which explains why it’s not an option there.
When the camera is up when in drive, there’s an option on the left to have it automatically come on. A camera with an A by it. Tap that to turn auto off (now it’ll have a line through it). You may have accidentally tapped it? Super easy to turn off if it isn’t what you want.
Guess it depends on how much height is added by the cross bars. I have the factory roof rack which adds just under three inches of height over the roof rails, and I’ve gone to a parking garage in a city that is 6’7” (79”) with no issue. So maybe, but it’ll likely be very tight if it clears.
According to the official specs, the height for a Premium+ is 75.59”. So you were 0.6” too tall for 6’3” clearance even without your cross bars. Add however high those stick up beyond the flush roof rails, and you should be good. 6’6” or 6’7” should be the minimum clearance you’re wanting for...
Once you tap edit shown in my first post, little handles will pop up on the left side of the station name. You have to touch those and then hold for a second or two, then you can drag them around to your liking.
I think they mean they have cluster position 1, 2, and 3 set to these different use cases, not that the cluster theme is different for each one (since it can’t be). Would be nice, though.
Shouldn’t be any different for 2025 than 2024.
Hey Lexus, Easy fixes you can make now
Settings > vehicle customize > meter > meter type. Choose the theme you want 1-3, sounds like you want theme 2.
