Probably moot at this point because they seem to have stopped selling the precut kits to the public, but the kit I got from Xpel.com for a previous car did not have wrapped edges.
But prior to that, the Xpel kit I got from DriveProtected.com for a different car (no longer sells precut kits for...
I ended up going a different direction for a car purchase after waiting for over 1.5 years from putting my name on a list and not not being offered the exact trim + color scheme I wanted.
Regardless, yeah, it seems like XPEL is no longer selling precut kits for any car. 🤷♂️ No clue why.
Yeah, I've heard basically the same thing with regards to their manufacturing process. I'm not sure if I understand it...although I'm not a process engineer. If the idea is they're going to build things in batches in order keep parts arriving just in time and tooling changes at a minimum, I...
I got on the list at PP Plano back in August of 23 and have been waiting for a very specific spec (OT+ Atomic w/ black roof & Chateau), but none has come through for me. A couple months back, I did get offered some other ones that were close, but not perfect. I declined.
So I've recently gotten...
Oh yeah? OT+ at MSRP?
FWIW, from time to time I've looked around on Cars.com and Lexus's own site, called dealers in adjacent cities & states that "had one", and was told time and again that they were all pre-sold and there is a multi month waiting list.
I've got only 1 spec I'm interested in. OT+ Atomic w/ Black Roof and Chateau Interior. It's been 13 months since I put my name on the list. I've been offered others that are close, but I've turned them down. I'm picky :)
Congrats! Looks like you have the chateau interior. Would you mind taking pictures from the outside with the doors open? I'd love to get a better sense of how chateau looks with atomic!
I've got no affiliation with Xpel besides being a fan of theirs. I've been checking their site every so often, and I'm excited that they've now got pre-cut kits available. I plan to DIY PPF mine as soon as it arrives...
FWIW, one of the local dealers here in DFW TX said that they're getting in more vehicles in than they expected. My guess is your wait won't be quite as long as they're projecting.
