I suspect that this is one of those very individualistic things - context and preference.
My rig is an Overtrail '25, with the "regular" step, which I believe sticks out a bit more than the rock sliders.
I don't need the step though and never use it. Rock rail would be perfect if it wasn't so...
That is awesome.
I recently did a ~300 mile round trip, through a part of the Appalachians with posted 6 grade interstate and, you know at the bottom of the hill there just has to be a 30-40 degree turn to one side, albeit rounded. so the speeds varied. but the final overall MPG was about...
I'm getting 19+ mpg more consistently. Often 20-20.7 MPG.
However - it depends a lot of how you drive (aggressive / braking / etc.) and this is also without doing Eco mode. Maybe this is an obvious caveat.

Perhaps this is obvious but it varies a lot by driving style, the roads/trips driven, how you learn and choose to use the GX's dual clutch(?)/paddles and various sport / sport + / normal modes, and don't forget how "average" is calculated. If you have one trip that was just really bad mileage...
Besides reading the manual, are there any thoughts here on when to first change the transmission and transfer case fluids for the Overtrail? 2025 GX 550 Overtrail. Assume no extended idling or other hard driving conditions for the early miles on the truck during "break in" period.
New to the forum. 2025 Lexus GX 550 Overtrail. Nori Green. Nothing but love for this new truck. Love. Now, that's in part because, IMO, I can deal with the mileage and range. But nothing is perfect in life, as the saying goes. Still: Love this truck.
