Did my first DIY oil change this past weekend at 2,700 miles and was super easy. The little oil filter drain pan is a very nice touch and appreciate the note for the tubing size in the OP. I don't plan on cutting my filter open, but the oil still looked pretty good. I followed the breakin...
If you're referring to a market adjustment just increasing the price, that's not quite as normal from what I've seen compared to just adding on "protection" dealer add-ons or similar. Just depends on the area though, some dealers out West are definitely doing it. I paid MSRP from Bergstrom of...
Kind of cool with the built in DD lights, but I'd imagine that style will have significantly more wind noise than going with something like a Westcott and adding a light bar into their wind cowl. More expensive by several hundred dollars too and sounds like made in China/Taiwan.
Fair enough, I'll just stick with your tune then for now. Would just love to gain additional power with the tune in other ways than having to go with the expense of fully replacing the turbos.
I got a shipping notice for my tune kit back on 5/28, so glad to hear it's going out hopefully in the...
That does sound like the best option, but going through the firewall also isn't that hard. I ran power through the passenger side for my subwoofer amp. There's a nipple on the rubber grommet there you can slice off and as long as you have a wire fish or something else to use to shove it through...
Would there be additional power gains with running the AFe intakes on this tune? I know there were initially some CEL type issues with those, but sounds like those were fixed with a part update on AFe's side.
I haven't put mine in yet on the GX, but on my old 4Runner I just had it in a magnet mount sitting in the back against my Westcott roof rack. Never moved at all and just had the wire ran through the grommet under the rear spoiler and plugged into the accessory port in the back. Worked great and...
Can I assume there are additional performance gains(whp/tq) made from this version 1.2 tune update over the original? Looking forward to getting the kit I ordered and hopefully running this updated tune right off the bat.
What is really odd is I used that same LC video posted above and unless I am crazy, my 2026 Overtrail was not the same setup with the 6 bolts under the cover as shown in the video. I was only looking to run wire for my Wolfbox rear cam and wasn't a big enough deal to remove, but I swear mine...
I'm very intrigued by the Scout Harvester since it will have a 4cyl ICE specifically for charging while driving and supposedly have a 500 mile range. I like the look a lot, but with how limited the service centers will be and a brand new offering, I'm definitely not getting out of the GX for one.
I don't claim to have much suspension knowledge, but I think typically most quality suspension lift kits give better ride quality on the road over stock in addition to the offroad performance. I know my 4Runner's on-road characteristics improved greatly even with just more of a budget Toytec...
No, actually when I made this I had a used rough country light on hand, but actually gonna go with Diode Dynamics SS30 that does have the backlight feature. It looked like that maybe needed its' own switch too, but couldn't tell for sure. Not sure I'd want to have it automatically turn on with...
