My assessment too.
I feel it drives precisely for a vehicle it's size and something that felt different compared to the LC250 that I rented for a week.
I think they hit it on the head. It is a Lexus truck. It feels like a very refined version of a mid sized pick up truck IMO. It is not a...
I believe it is a setting. '25 OT and it opens all doors. I do wish it had the door sensor in all four handles like our other vehicle. Didn't care about that feature at all until having a kid. Probably the feature I notice the most that I wish it had. Although probably third on the list after...
What are your goals for your GX's paint? If you want perfect paint —no orange peel, car show-ready —then go professional. Spend the money on a multi-stage paint correction and ceramic coat (and maybe PPF). That level of paintwork also requires a maintenance plan and will reveal minor...
I have been in the same place as you when I got my OT. I did not find anything specific for the GX, but found Ronny Dahl as a good introduction to using lockers and 4Lo. And Driving Sports TV for a good overview of the MTS, DAC and Crawl Control on their reviews of the GX and the LC250. My basic...
I wanted a moonroof delete too. Didn't get it. And have been pleasantly surprised by how much we use it. Not sure what is different but on our previous cars, I might use the moonroof once a year.
Agreed. Besides the length, the copy and paste of what Google AI says about it is weird. Not sure what the end game is, if they own one, I guess just venting.
I personally think it would look awesome. I have seen it on Range Rovers, and the black and white with the gloss / matte or satin finish is a great look. (I love the earth color we ended up with, but white is still my preferred color for these. Love the stormtrooper look.)
I am so happy I ended up with the adaptive suspension. I have driven a few older vehicles with adaptive suspension and did not see much of a difference. But man is it nice to have the sport mode when going up a pass or through a canyon when the road is in good shape. And the comfort is great in...
A more affordable option to the ADGU system is this one from Colfax Campers in Denver: Platform Kit - Lexus GX 550
That is my truck in the pictures. Happy to show it off or answer questions if you are interested. They will also install at their shop if you are local.
I haven't really used it...
Good call the surround cameras on the + would be nice! Before I convinced the wife to let me get an OT, she insisted on a prem+ for the surround cameras. (Won't let me get a car without, which I appreciate. )
The prem+ can for sure handle those roads. I would plan on a second set of wheels and AT tires. Plus get a compressor so you can air down and you can do it easily. The MTS and trail cameras are huge aids if you not experienced but go slow, use a spotter and you will be just fine.
