I had a lot of flutter on my 24. And 85% less on my 26. Neither bothered me. Really - unless the hood is going to fail prematurely because of the flutter, why stress?
To each their own. I actually love what Lexus did as I want the “sunroof” for the “sun” and light. It makes the cabin so much more spacious when it’s there and with the “soft light” it’s very comfy feeling. I opened the sunroof maybe 5 times in the past 6 years in all of my previous SUVs...

In the ny/nj area the OTs are not hard to get. I think the prem/lux are more in demand around here just due to the demographics. A lot of upper middle class soccer moms and dads.

That said when I felt middle of the hood on the 26 it was much stiffer than on my 24. So they must have reinforced it somehow. I was driving up to 75mph on the 26 and no flutter whatsoever. On the 24 there would have been noticeable movement.
