It’s not based on anything verifiable. With as much of a spotlight as there has been on this engine some YouTuber would have recognized this engine change and posted a video about it with actual info instead of a weird AI voiceover with no proof of anything.
The main bearing was upgraded back...
Who knew buying a 75k car from the supposed most reliable car manufacturer would result in this mess. If they haven’t fixed the problem then what is recall fix gonna do???
I’d get out of this car if there was another I liked better. The only other car I was considering was the grand highlander...
I don’t have answers to all your questions, but in essence the gist seems to be that most are calling BS on Toyota’s manufacturing debris claim and believe there is more of a design issue going on. Now the bearing failures seem to have been addressed since there was a more “robust” main bearing...
I am having this same issue with the noise when turning and coming to a stop since it got very cold in the northeast. (see attached video). Is this what you're experiencing? I've never heard a car do this. Going to call dealership in the morning.

According to the car care nut the main bearing part number was changed sometime around April 2024 which is the date of cutoff for the recall. This teardown makes it seem like it’s more than the main bearing but I’m no technician, just a schmuck who finally splurged on a car that may have major...
What a messy situation. The only thing that keeps me somewhat positive is that the range of production for the GX on this recall is extremely limited. If they suspected that it effected a larger pool of cars I think they would have included the entire 2024 MY.
Whats more is that these have been...
For me the biggest concern is if this will cause harm to the transmission long term. I’m willing to wait for a fix but longevity concerns me. Hopefully there is a fix before winter.
