So just to report back they replaced the front brakes and rotor per the TSB. I was in for my service and they had the parts available so I didn’t need to wait for weeks or months.
On a side note I spoke to the garage foreman about the engine issues. He said he’s seen the engine issue on a few...
I don’t think he pretends to have all the answers nor do I. But the engine recall in 2024 obviously did not fix the problem because new crate engines were also failing.
He said the numbers are getting better in terms of failures in 2025 and 2026 but still occurring, that someone high up in...
I’m saying there are v35 engines built in 25 and 26 model year tundras that have failed. See below link. That guy did everything he was supposed to do in terms of oil changes and it still failed.
The problem is if that were true then tundra engines would not be failing in 25 and 26 models, and yet they are.
Someone on this forum told me about Ryan Gregg and I went down a rabbit whole. He seems to be as well informed and tuned in on this issue as one can be. What he has said in a YouTube...
Any idea when he says the engine issues were resolved? Also my family thinks I’m crazy because I sit in the car and let it cool down for a minute before shutting the car off.
Squeaky squeak. Honestly, I’ve never loved and been annoyed by a car so much. Brakes, harsh downshift, fears of blowing a main bearing. Still, I get excited every time I get to drive it even a year later.
What are the lead times for the squeaky brake issue. I know they were long last year. Mine seems to happen when coming to slow stop and more so going down a hill. I have a service appointment tomorrow for my one year service and I tried to give the TSB to the scheduler but she wasn’t interest in...
What state are you in and how did they sell you a car with an open engine recall? If you had the recall on yours it was an early 2024 model and the dealer should not have sold it to you in December 2025. I’d look at used lemon law statutes in your state and get your money back.
I had the hardware flash done when I took mine in for its first service in October.
Mine still has the issue but it seems to be when the car is still getting warm. After driving for 5-10 minutes it does t seem to happen. I usually let the car warm up for 5 minutes or so if it’s under 40...
I have noticed less and less inventory at my local dealer. They used to always have at least 10 or more on the site with most of them in build phase and a few in route to the dealership. Now they only have 3 with all of them in build phase.
If this is related to implementing engine changes...
How many GX engine have blown in nearly two years of sales and about 70k units sold? I get that it’s too early to tell if these engines will last, but if we were going to have engine failures like the Tundra there is a large enough sample size where we would have heard things.
I’ve done a deep...
It’s not based on anything verifiable. With as much of a spotlight as there has been on this engine some YouTuber would have recognized this engine change and posted a video about it with actual info instead of a weird AI voiceover with no proof of anything.
The main bearing was upgraded back...
Who knew buying a 75k car from the supposed most reliable car manufacturer would result in this mess. If they haven’t fixed the problem then what is recall fix gonna do???
I’d get out of this car if there was another I liked better. The only other car I was considering was the grand highlander...
