It would be interesting to know about the replacement engine - did it "blow" due to the same reason as the originally installed engine.
I have a neighbor that has very recently had to replace the engine in his Tahoe. GM has had a terrible time with the L87 V-8 in MANY of the Tahoes. After he...
If you leave Recirculation ON, which means the fresh air intake is CLOSED, the inside cabin air will, over time, begin to condense on the interior side of the windows i.e. "fog over". The Fresh Air damper should remain OPEN when possible.
"system off and I start moving it seems like air flow is...
If the replacement engines are "the same defective engine" Toyota/Lexus must have made a whole lot of them and stashed them in a warehouse somewhere.
I give some credit to Lexus knowing not to swap out a bad engine for a - bad engine.
But hey, even GM knows better than that..... Naw - they...
I want to change out the bulb or add a pulsing modulator to the High Mount/3rd Brake light so the light will flash when braking.
Has anyone performed this mod?
Has anyone looked into adding a pulsing modulator?
Morimoto makes a pulsing modulator that is "plug-n-play". Uses "factory" type wiring...
You should be able to search this forum and find LOTS of A/C discussion. Someone already said keep the S-Flow switch off - every time you crank your car, you should check the S-Flow switch and ENSURE it is OFF. If your car is not cranked within one hour, the car itself will turn S-flow ON. So...
Tells me the oil sample is NORMAL for a new engine going through break in. If this is the first oil sample taken, there is NO PREVIOUS sample and the analysis indicates a new engine just starting into the break-in. Those particular numbers with red indication will trend up/stay high until the...
I checked on the "backup camera thingy" - and there apparently is no fix at this time. Coming to a theater near you - someday!
My vehicle does not have the issue as far as I can tell.
I haven't received any email or other correspondence concerning anything Lexus - miles, service or otherwise.
I'm beginning to think I dreamed I visited my dealer. :)
I believe the oil level indicator/sensor is reasonably accurate. Lexus would not give the vehicle the capability to read level then screw up and make it unreliable - that would be a lawsuit should the engine go dry and the level sensor indicate half full.
