That is a self powered model. So it has a built in 500W RMS amp inside already. Just run the power cables and use a line converter to tap in.

They each have their own functions and do not integrate with each other. The modes on the AFE unit will do its own thing while the Lexus modes will modify other things like steering, suspension, and throttle response. I used to always use Sport on the aFe and Sport+ on the Lexus mode.

Agreed, you can probably make the same argument about restrictive exhaust. The engine will call for the same torque demand but you may increasing the curve on how fast it can ramp up to that same demand.
