I wouldn't let the recall make your decision. If you want an off-roader, the OT or OT+ is the only way to go.

They probably will rub in reverse while turning. Remove the crash bars and add the ARK crash bar delete.

I have 17k miles on mine. I would have to think if there was an issue with mine, it would have caused some symptoms by now. It doesn't show to be on the list, but I took delivery in August '24.

So Tandem Offroad removed my crash bars to get rid of some rubbing. I'm assuming this just neatens up the look after they are removed? That is a pretty slick idea.

I had Nittos on a TRD PRO 4Runner a few years ago. One trip to Colorado and they were chopped up which caused annoying vibration on the highway. Discount Tire advised the only fix was to drive them until the gouges were gone.

From what I read today the EKDSS locks/unlocks the sway bars as need with driving conditions.

What mode disengages the sway bars?

I spent 3 days last week in Moab and I tried it both ways. I honestly couldn't tell you the difference. I went up and down some very difficult obstacles and it basically drove itself in crawl mode only came away with a couple minor dings.

Mine have been amazing. Just finished a nearly 3k trip to Durgano, Moab and back. The tires performed VERY well in all conditions.
