you don't really have to cut anything. the "pocket" is connected to the panel via a couple of small melted plastic pins. once you take off the side panel, just drill these little melted pins and the pocket comes off easily.

did it myself. there's a thread here somewhere that explains the process. not hard really. it's all pre-wired, just need to remove cargo space carpet and side panel and plug it in. i'll look up later if i can find the thread.

how do you get a 74lb 35"? the wheel is usually 29-36lbs and the lightest 35" tires are >50 lbs, some going >70 for just the tire.

35" are ~ 100lbs. assuming you don't have a tent or anything else on the roof, getting those 100lbs on there is no fun.

dealer wanted $1.4k+tax for the springs and another $1.4k+tax for the install. got the springs for $900 and install for $700 including alignment and camera calibration at an independent shop specializing in lifted yotas.

you can buy the coils at any lexus dealer, there's a thread here somewhere with the part numbers. dealer can also install but it's a lot cheaper to do at an independent shop. lexus quoted me $2800 for the install, shop quoted $700.

also, alignment is critical. toe will be way off after any lift on an IFS. but, i guess that is a given. never heard of any dealer that does suspension work without also doing wheel alignment.
