I think that clearances is the issue. On my 2017 tundra no chains allowed on front wheels but back was fine. By mistake I tried to put chains on the front tires it was next to impossible.
Cable type traction devices should be able to work.
Strange that no chains allowed on 18 and 22 inch...
My 24 Lux+ has been fine, 11 k miles no transmission shift problems. Just had my squeaky brakes and hood flutter fixed. There is still a slight fluttering but about 97 percent better. No electrical problems whatsoever.
Bought my Lux + May 2024 , did a 3100 road trip from Wa state to San Diego and back.
It took a little bit to get used to the smaller size, I have a 17 tundra and a 08 sequoia. It’s my retirement car . Still amazed how much stuff you can put in it.
Rides great, most of the time in comfort...
I wonder why the preference for Toyota and Lexus to use the small filter? Saving money? Strange, I would figure that a larger filter would work better since turbos like clean oil.
My old 2005 Nissan quest with the 3.5 was the same way. Did the mod to put a larger oil pan and larger filter.
Thanks, I did a similar thing except I did oil changes at 600, 1500 and 5100 miles. Plan on 5 k OCI’s. Not a fan of Toyota oil, I like Pennzoil ultra platinum, it had a great additive package. I will keep on using OEM filters.
