Do the cargo sides stay in place?

Yes, they do. The Velcro parts work well and are rightly positioned. Great design.

I went a bit overboard from Canvas Back - bought the cargo loading cover that extends over the bumper, side panel covers, rear door covers, rear seat cover (dogs) and ones to put over the captains chairs. The side cargo ones are fantastic as it does prevent scuffing of the plastic which shows marks too easily

Velcro tape. Easy to remove if needed....

Yes, one side of the Velcro is attached to the fabric, the other side is the one that goes and stick to the car plastic. The way to install it is to position the Canvasback cover where it's supposed to be to get a sense on the overall positioning without removing the Velcor tape. Once done then you peel the tape cover on the Velcro sticky part (keep both Velcro side together), then position again the Canvasback cover the same way you did and apply pressure on the Velcro area one by one. I went left to right removing the protective tapes one by one. Hope this helps. There are instructions that come with your order.
